Brides are happy to donate flowers to our recycle programs. Thank you Vermont bride's !
Multi-use flowers – Use bride’s maid bouquets as decoration by providing vases for them to put the flowers in at the reception. For centerpieces choose potted flowers or plants and give them to your guests to take home and enjoy. Choose to donate flowers to Vermont Recycle Flowers and ECHO will call and arrange for pick up after your event. These flowers will be re-arranged and delivered to local nursing homes, children hospitals and nonprofit organizations.
We are a group of floral designers @ Chappell's florist who create new floral bouquets with recycled "Event" flowers. Event flowers are fresh flowers that are enjoyed for a short time at weddings, Hotel Conventions, business or party function and then normally discarded. We deliver these new arrangements to Nursing homes and Assisted Living Facilities, Vermont Respite House weekly, Ronald McDonald House, Hope Lodge, Schools, Churches, libraries and Nonprofit organizations.
How I got started.......
I was admiring arrangements at a reception party for a friend. I decided to ask the hotel staff what actually happens to the flowers. Do they move them to the lobby for the enjoyment of the guests? I was told "oh no, we don't keep them." So an idea was born; why not ask to take the flowers back to my shop, redesign them & give them back to the community. Why not? Who wouldn't like fresh flowers especially in a nursing home dining room or a local school lobby. That's how "Vermont recycles Flowers "got started. With the generosity of flower donations and a little talent from Chappell's Florist designers and local volunteers, we are sharing flowers, still full of life, with members of our community who will really enjoy them. recycleflowers@yahoo.com

Vermont Flowers & Chappell's recycle program donate to Ronald McDonald House
Today we have donated a bride's bouquet and lapel flowers to a couple who met at Ronald McDonald House, They have asked to be married on site, and a celebration will follow. The bride loves pink so we followed that theme with pink & coral roses, pink gerbera daisies, green hydrangea, & other accent flowers. Congratulations and best wishes to the couple!

Recycle flowers given to Williston Enrichment Center
Today we donated a big bucket full of recycled flowers. The children are going to make little bouquets to take home and decorate a fairy castle. Fun! There may even be flowers left for the staff to enjoy!
