How I got started.......

HOW I GOT STARTED.........

I was admiring arrangements at a reception party for a friend. I decided to ask the hotel staff what actually happens to the flowers. Do they move them to the lobby for the enjoyment of the guests? I was told "oh no, we don't keep them." So an idea was born; why not ask to take the flowers back to my shop, redesign them & give them back to the community. Why not? Who wouldn't like fresh flowers especially in a nursing home dining room or a local school lobby. That's how "Vermont recycles Flowers "got started. With the generosity of flower donations and a little talent from Chappell's Florist designers and local volunteers, we are sharing flowers, still full of life, with members of our community who will really enjoy them. recycleflowers@yahoo.com

Burlington Vermont flowers - Dress for Success

We are pleased to have donated "vintage" flowers to Dress for Success today. They were so pleased for the touch of spring and gave me a big hug!

Williston Vt flower delivery to Vermont Respite House from Chappell's with love

Our Vt recycles Flowers volunteers design "vintage" flowers every week and hand deliver to the Vermont Respite House. I want to especially thank Sue McGuire who has personally taken on the challenge of providing a vase of flowers to every room for their enjoyment.
It is our sincere pleasure to contribute to the local community, especially to those who deserve the happiness of flowers.

VERMONT RESPITE HOUSE
This VNA End-of-Life Care program is a home away from home for people with terminal illness – a place where they can live the remainder of their days in peace, surrounded by the love of family and friends.

Founded in 1991, this home for the terminally ill utilizes the expertise of skilled VNA caregivers and volunteers who are dedicated to providing a warm, caring and personalized environment for people in the final stages of life.

The house has 13 private rooms with baths and each room contains a pull-out sofa which guests can use for overnight visits or for longer stays.

Burlington vt Chappell's Florist donates to Be Cause

Chappell's florist and Vermont recycles Flowers donated 3 VERY springy bouquets to Be Cause today for their Fair. The flowers will cheer up the reception and ticket booth.

Mats Lederhausen formed BE-CAUSE in early 2007. The company is a platform for investing and building businesses with a “purpose bigger than their products®.” This philosophy is based on both ancient philosophy as well observations and experience from companies that were propelled by a strong purpose. Brands that have a strong conviction around why they exist and who they exist to serve will end up attracting better employees and more loyal customers and therefore ultimately be more successful.

Williston vermont flowers recycled to VNA Adult Program, Falcon Manor

Vermont recycles flowers has partnered with VNA to provide our recycled flowers to the Adult Daycare programs. We are told the flowers bring fun and spring into the building, and everyone loves the activity.....we love to hear the stories! We have just started to donate to the Memory Impaired VNA Adult Daycare center on Farrell St in South Burlington.
